Code of Ordinances

Process of Codification
Once an ordinance is proposed, discussed, read twice (at two separate City Council meetings) and approved upon second reading by City Council, it is officially passed and signed by the mayor and city clerk (see KRS 83A.060). The ordinance is then published and codified. The codification process extracts necessary information and compiles and organizes it in a way that makes it legally presentable in document form. The original is still the "official" ordinance, but the ''chapter and verse'' codified ordinance is what is most commonly referenced.

2015-1653 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 794 of the City of Murray Code of Ordinances so as to zone a 13.235 acre tract of land owned by Westside Baptist Church and a 2.417 acre portion of county right-of-way as R-2 (Single Family Residential); and the 0.918 acre tract owned by the City of Murray as Government.
2015-1654 - An ordinance of the City of Murray, Kentucky annexing a 27.740 acre tract located east of Falwell Estates and identified as PVA parcel 042-0-0036, owned by Stephen Compton and Erika Compton.
2015-1655 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 2014-1641, an ordinance which adopted the FY 2015 City of Murray, Kentucky annual budget by restating certain revenues and expenditures for the City of Murray operations budget.
2015-1656 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 794 of the City of Murray Code of Ordinances so as to re-zone a 15,257 square foot tract of land located at 1410 Poplar Street and owned by Victor Olazabal from R-4 (Multi-Family Residential) to B1 (Neighborhood Business).
2015-1657 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 794 of the City of Murray Code of Ordinances so as to zone a 27.740 acre tract of land owned by Stephen Compton and Erika Compton located east of Falwell Estates and north of Wiswell Road identified as PVA Parcel 042-0-0036 as Agriculture.
2015-1658 - An ordinance enacting and adopting a supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Murray, Kentucky.

2015-1661 - An ordinance amending City of Murray Code of Ordinances, 71 Licensing, specifically 71.08 Late Fee in order to provide for a one hundred dollar (100.00) late fee in addition to requiring the individual to purchase a license.
2015-1662 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 794 of the City of Murray Code of Ordinances so as to zone a 21.123 acre tract of land located at the intersection of US HWY 641 North, North 4th Street and Robert O. Miller Road, which includes all of the property owned by David Taylor and the Bogard Cemetery and a portion of US HWY 641 North owned by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as B-2 (Highway Commercial).
2015-1663 - An ordinance of the City of Murray, Kentucky annexing a 21.123 acre tract located at the intersection of US HWY 641 North, North 4th Street and Robert O. Miller Road, which includes all of the David Taylor property as well as the Bogard Cemetery and a portion of US HWY 641 North which is owned by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
2015-1664 - An ordinance of the City of Murray, Kentucky annexing a 7.24 acre tract located at 126 Robertson Road North owned by Murray Independent and Calloway County School System, which shall be zoned as Government.
2015-1665 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 2014-1641, an ordinance which adopted the FY 2015 City of Murray, Kentucky annual budget by restating certain revenues and expenditures for the City of Murray operations budget.
2015-1666 - An ordinance amending the City of Murray Code of Ordinances 52.09 Subsection (B) being an ordinance defining the schedule of rates charged to users of the Waste Water Treatment System based on the user's respective volume of metered water consumption.
2015-1667 - An ordinance amending the Section 53.02 water rates and tap-on fees of the City of Murray Code of Ordinances, specifically subsections (A), (C), (D) and (H) as it relates to certain water rates.

2015-1670 - An ordinance closing a portion of a public way, to-wit: a portion of Olive Street, Murray, KY.
2015-1671 - An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 794 of the City of Murray Code of Ordinances so as to re-zone a 3.89 acre portion of 402 Chestnut Street and a 0.41 acre portion of right-of-way along North Fourth Street, from B-2 (Highway Commercial) to R-2 (Single Family Residential).
